Break Time: What are Your (Least) Favorite Bad Fashions

It's question time. This comes during fashion week and I can't help it that it also comes during my occasional extreme fatigue from PMS. I get crazy systems due to an illness I have. I know I still need to set up "sick day" content.

But for now, until the Fashion Week Bad Fashion continues, why don't you share your frightening sights in the comments.

Thanks!.......Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Bad Fashion Week: Transparent Pants --- #nyfw

I believe these pants from Richard Chai Love were more of an afterthought decoration to his designs than something he expects us to wear, but all the more freedom we have to openly dis them!

See-Through Pants:

Bonus: Slip Over Pants. It's so necessary, I feel like a fool all these years.

Poll Bug Resolved PLUS Voting Improved

The poll bug was resolved. Unfortunately, from probably sometime this morning until 5:30 p.m. all new votes were recorded for "Digging" (liking) all styles.

The only post so far from today displayed all erroneous results (all votes were "for" a warning note about the bug), so that one poll has been reset to 0 votes.

I'm on the case/a quest for getting some more "negative" votes in, only because I know this is actually accurate. Haha.  And if you have time to kill and feel strongly enough, feel free to visit us under different browsers and "bury" away. (Are we being silly? So?)

You no longer even have to endure a page re-load when voting. So the experience may be more fun for you.

We made one other important improvement to the polls today, related to the discovery of the bug. Before it was relatively easy to cast an incorrect vote if attention was not paid. We've changed the designing to better prevent that, meaning now if you click on the words of your choice, and not more carefully the radio box, you should select the appropriate box. Please still be careful, as if you click white space (possibly depending on your browser), your vote could go up or down.

Enjoy! And thanks for visiting.

#NYFW Fashion's Night Out: Which Shoe Doesn't Belong?

First of all, sorry about yesterday's absence. That is not like us. ;-) I had been working so hard that even with the long weekend, I was still achey, and then bam----yesterday I had major backpain. Since I will be working even harder, I took the day off from the computer. Didn't want to touch it.

But it will be all well worth it! I introduce to you the start of our Fashion Week Fug Finds! Yippeee!!

This photo, from backstage of NYFW's Fashion's Night Out, would work like a scroll-right if it were mirror-imaged. Of course, it's also like a Sesame Street game of "which one of these __ is not like the others?".

So which one of these shoes doesn't belong?

Sorry for the photo size in order to fit it in a post, you can click to see larger to "play along", but here's also a zoom:

*tap tap* "Umm, miss with-the-nice-skirt, I think your heels are on upside down. Yes, they're on your shoes upside down. You're welcome."

What's In A Name: "Goat-Bearded Boot"

Alexander Wang Polina Goat-Bearded Boot $925.00 by Alexander Wang at Bergdorf Goodman

Not only does this hideously evil boot have what looks like black yeti hair to cover a female's leg, and a name that shamelessly supports its bad-shoe-ness (Goat-Bearded Boot??!?!!), but the actual shape of  the boot underneath the foolishness is just bad, itself!

I hate a pointy-toe platform, and this one is unapologetically high, like a KISS boot without a monster face.

It's so much of a disaster, it's like Alexander Wang wants to be bashed on the blogs just for extra publicity. Please, with his studs & leather bags that weigh a ton, and I'm only half kidding, he doesn't need it.

Whyyyy, Devil, whyyyyy?

Bad Shoes: Vince Camuto - Maria

Vince Camuto - Maria

$122.00$83.23 by Vince Camuto at Zappos

These remind me of princess shoes for the tacky - or for Paris Hilton on safari. Even off safari, they're all wrong anywhere. Who mixes gold glitter and giant rhinestones with giraffe? Apparently Vince Camuto.

There's only one pair left, in a 5 and a half. Apparently a lot of people fit the bill of this target market, adoring Ms. Hilton and really confused watching "Tacky House"; "but what's wrong with this room???" she asks. And there are many of them, with medium to large feet, making me continue to wonder, "what's wrong with America?"

Vince Camuto is one small part of the problem.

Best Dressed of the Week: Jessica Alba

The celebrity we noticed, in a good way, most last week was Jessica Alba, at least for her ensembles.

While E's Fashion Police saw one of her outfits in a different light (right), we kind of liked their "worst" pick, anyway. (And hey, they did select her as a top best dressed, too.)

See her best looks from the week in our gallery.

Bad Shoes: Lisa for Donald J. Pliner

When I first saw the boots from the Lisa for Donald J. Pliner collection, I thought these were men's.

Lisa for donald j pliner "ghalib" boot

$275.00 by Donald J Pliner at Dillard's

Then it seemed that they were for women, and I did some searching around, and yes, these are women's shoes.

Either way, they are nasty. Open-toe workboot style? Oh and I *love* (sarcasm) the rivets on the toe bed.

These may be the worst, but there are more ugly shoes in the collection:

Ghastly. Stop this Lisa person!!!

Star Bury Game: Reveal; Evil or Divine? (Christina Applegate)

Last week, we posted a tiny thumbnail of Christina Applegate in this multicolor dress, in order for our blog passerby to log a guess on its style: evil or divine?

Here's the larger photo, as promised.

The picture links to an even (very) larger one, so you can fully inspect.

While I thought its thumbnail hinted at ghastly, I happen to think this ensemble is actually really divine! You? Vote below; it's the final judgment!

We're Actually Sorry We Have to Show You These Nauseating, Bad Shoes

If you were to just look at the thumbnail, your first thought might be that these shoes are just plain hideous. But you'd then think, "no, there's something else besides ugly going on here..."

And you'd be right. I'm sorry if I nauseate anyone else with these (like they nauseated me), but they're just about the worse shoes ever, and we need to post them.

Some artist decided to make shoes out of shoes and dung. Elephant dung. On (under) a shoe. Poor model (below).

At least from a shoe-making standpoint, they're interesting. Not that we even approve of the super-elongated heel, but I wonder how they did that, at least! Poor soul even beaded the dung.

I am Ella M*de! I'm like any regular gal who is all-too passionate about fashion (bags, shoes, etc.), but I'm furthermore pretty much a design snob.
